Summer Drama Camp

Aladdin Registration to this year’s Summer drama camp has closed.  The summer drama camp will be held at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, 109 Gypsy Hill Rd, Landenberg, PA 19350, from June 30 – July 3 and July 7 – 12. FREE ADMISSION for both performances on Friday, July 11 @  2:00 p.m. and Saturday , July 12 @ 10:30 a.m.   The tuneful, Academy award-winning score of Aladdin includes such memorable songs as “A Whole New World” and “Friend Like Me” which will certainly make this musical a favorite for many years to come! ACT’s two -week drama camp incorporates classes in music, movement, games, basic acting skills (voice projection, vocal and body expression, stage movement, script reading), interpretation and improvisation, costuming, character development and simple set design. AGE RANGES: 6 years – 13 years old. Disney’s Aladdin KIDS is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).

“We’re off to see….” The most magical adventure of them all. Click your heels together this summer and join Scarecrow, Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, Dorothy and Toto, as they journey through the magical land of Oz to meet the Wizard and seek out their hearts’ desires. This summer, ACT will be celebrating its 10th anniversary by presenting one of the world’s most beloved musicals, ‘The Wizard of Oz’. Performances at Ware Theater for the Fine Arts on the campus of Lincoln University, 1570 Baltimore Pike, Lincoln University are on Friday, July 18 @ 7 p.m. Sunday, July 20 @ 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24 @ 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 25 @ 7:00 p.m. Saturday, July 26 at 2:00 p,m, and 7:00 p.m Sunday, July 27 @ 2:00 p.m. Tickets are expected to sell out early so reserve your seat now.

  • The folks who spent a few bucks for a ticket to ACT's "Thoroughly Modern Millie" last weekend got their money's worth and more.

    The musical, presented by the Avon Grove Community Theater at the Lincoln University Ware Center Theater was peppy and upbeat, performed by actors who had obviously rehearsed hard and done their homework.

  • “The Music Man” performed by the Avon Grove Community Theater group at Lincoln University’s Ware Theater had no trouble putting smiles on the faces of its seven audiences July 19 through 29.

    This upbeat musical by Meredith Willson, directed by Geddes and Mala Marcano, had all the elements needed to score kudos with those who came to watch: good music, a great story and a happy ending.
